Adrian Militaru

Adrian Militaru is 22 years old and likes to learn new things, exceed his limits and spend his time doing the most various activities. He has no clear plans for the future, but he says that no matter what the next few years hold in store for him, he wants to have an impact in the areas in which he will work and he aims to resemble as much as possible the people he admires.

He recently graduated from the Faculty of Automation and Computers as head of promotion, he works as a software engineer at an IT company and studies Machine Learning for a master’s degree at UPT. He is at the age when he takes advantage of every opportunity that presents itself, he studies and aims to be a better man day after day. And because he wants to give back some of the things he learned from teachers, colleagues or friends, he accepted the challenge of being, this fall, a laboratory assistant. In addition to college, the past four years he has been active in the AC League, where he is currently a graduate member and he regrets that the current situation and lack of time only allow him to participate from time to time in the activities his colleagues organize.

He aims to be one of those “today’s young people” that both previous and future generations will appreciate and, why not, even envy. He is ambitious, he has many plans and always wants to help those around him. What he is doing now could be described, he says, in these few words: passion, ambition and learning. If he didn’t like what he was doing, he certainly wouldn’t have been able to manage his time so that he could do so much, and if he didn’t learn every day from everyone around him, he certainly wouldn’t be the same man he is today, says Adrian.

The most interesting project he worked on this year is the software project „Doctor QR” – developed together with one of his colleagues and presented as part of his diploma thesis – a project that comes to the aid of doctors and patients in that, more than any other smartphone application, it warns doctors about possible negative interactions of the drugs prescribed to a certain patient. He chose to develop this system because bioinformatics is an area of interest for him; he sees a need for automation in as many areas as possible, but he believes the medical system should take precedence.

In the little spare time he has, he likes to spend time with friends and family, to exercise and disconnect from technology as much as he can. He does not always succeed in doing what he sets out to do, but he does not let the fear of failure prevent him from trying again. He is optimistic, full of ideals and he ardently wants that, when he’ll look back at what he’ll have done or who he’ll have become, to have as few things as possible to reproach himself and, moreover, to be proud of the change he will have brought about.
