Francesca Feraru
Francesca Feraru, sau Franci, cum se prezintă, are 17 ani și este elevă la Liceul de Arte Plastice Timișoara. Este o susținătoare înfocată a tinerilor și crede cu tărie în puterea lor de a schimba realitatea, mai ales că a trecut prin multe școli și a trăit pe pielea ei ineficiența actualului sistem educațional.
Îi e dragă România, țara în care s-a născut, dar este totuși îngrijorată de faptul că e o țară în care 42% din populație este practic analfabetă – un prag alarmant și motivul principal pentru care s-a hotărât să facă parte din consiliul elevilor din școala sa. În 2018 a candidat pentru funcția de secretar, iar în 2019 pentru cea de președinte, din care, cu mândrie, își reprezintă colegii și în prezent.
Tot în 2019 s-a implicat și în Consiliul Județean al Elevilor Timiș, ca secretar, ceea ce i-a deschis orizontul către acei tineri ce se implică activ în societate, schimbând lucruri mici pas cu pas, și, totodată, interacționează deschis și informal unii cu alții. În prezent, împreună cu echipa CJE Timiș, luptă pentru drepturile și nevoile elevilor din întregul județ, deoarece este ferm convinsă că schimbarea poate începe odată ce vocile lor se fac auzite, chiar dacă în ansamblu lucrurile rămân greu de urnit.
În 2018 a avut și primul contact propriu-zis cu voluntariatul, în cadrul Clubului Interact Ripensis Timișoara, pe care acum îl organizează și îl gestionează din postura de președinte.
Pe parcursul acestor ani și-a dat seama de multe lucruri ce ar trebui schimbate, adaptate sau făcute într-un alt mod, dar și de factorii ce țin lucrurile pe loc. Iar tinerii pe care i-a întâlnit până acum i-au dat un avânt enorm, au ajutat-o să creadă în schimbare și să militeze pentru ea, și i-au dat și motivația și curajul de a se ține de treabă.
Francesca Feraru, or Franci, as she presents herself, is 17 years old and is a student at the Timișoara High School of Fine Arts. She is a passionate supporter of young people and strongly believes in their power to change reality, especially since she has gone through many schools and thus has a first-hand experience of the inefficiency of the current education system.
She loves Romania, the country where she was born, but she is nevertheless worried that it is a country where 42% of the population is practically illiterate – an alarming threshold and the main reason why she decided to be part of the school council in her school. In 2018, she ran for secretary, and in 2019 for president, the position from which she proudly represents her colleagues today.
Also in 2019, she became involved in the Timiș County Council of Students, as secretary, which opened the horizon to those young people who are actively involved in society, changing small things step by step, and also interact openly and informally with each other. Currently, together with the CJE Timiș team, she fights for the rights and needs of students throughout the county, because she is firmly convinced that change can begin once their voices are heard, even if as a whole the situation remains quite unshakable.
In 2018, she also had her first actual contact with volunteering, within the Interactive Club Ripensis Timișoara, which she now organizes and manages as president.
During these years she encountered many things that should be changed, adapted or done in another way, but she also discovered the factors that keep things in place. And the young people she has met so far have given her a huge boost, helped her believe in change and advocate for it, and have also given her the motivation and courage to keep up the good work.
